Lamp-life is dependent on many factors, including lamp mode, display mode, usage, environmental conditions and more. Lamp brightness can decrease over time.

3D content can be viewed with either RF or DLP Link active shutter glasses when projector is used with a compatible 3D player. RF 3D glasses require the use of an RF 3D emitter and a projector with a 3D VESA Sync port.

  1. Great deal for an entry level HD projector 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Oct 2013

I've only had one projector before this and it was a lightly used NEC NP410. To save you from looking up the spec's it was a 4:3 DVD resolution projector with reasonable performance. When it came to replacing this unit I did a lot of research prior to narrowing the choice down to a few units. My single biggest decision came down to contrast ratio. Unfortunately, there were no local vendors that carried the Epson HD 730/750 and the Optoma H180X so I was left to decide for myself on the test results I found on the Internet and the LCD vs DLP comparison.

After many hours considering other reviewers' comments on projectorcentral (and others) I finally decided on the Optoma H180X. I have to say that my first movie experience was a DVD quality movie, which wasn't thrilling, but the Blu-ray movie that followed blew me away with the colour and clarity of the picture.

Now, I understand that some people are sensitive to the rainbow-effect, but I haven't seen anything that would change my opinion of this projector so far. I absolutely love the colour, contrast and response of the picture from my cable box, media player and games on the Xbox. Absolutely no problems and no concerns, especially for the money. Love it!!
