The UHD60 is a state-of-the-art 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) projector for home theater capable of delivering ultra sharp images with a high level of detail and astounding color. With 4 times the pixels of 1080p, a resolution of 3840x2160, 3000 lumens, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, the UHD60 delivers breath-taking and vivid picture quality. Offering High Dynamic Range in the form of HDR10, vertical lens shift and a 1.6x Zoom, and an HDMI 2.0 port with Full 18Gbps, the UHD60 has been engineered to deliver the ultimate 4K UHD home viewing experience. The UHD60 is powered by a revolutionary Texas Instruments 4K DLP UHD chipset with a high performance DMD. This utilizes XPR video processing technology with fast switching to display 8.3 million distinct pixels as mandated by the Consumer Technology Association’s 4K UHD 2160p specification.

The UHD60 can project 4K UHD images up to 140 inches, allowing viewers to sit as far as 10 feet away and still enjoy all 4K UHD pixels. The average 55-75 inch 4K UHD TV simply cannot match this, as viewers typically sit further away from their TV than the optimum viewing area of 5-6 feet. High Dynamic Range, also known as HDR, is the true star of the 4K UHD show. HDR leverages REC.2020 wide color gamut and DCI-P3 color gamut coverage to deliver super luminous levels of white, to deliver luminous levels of white, the deepest black levels, and life-like real world color that was previously only possible in the cinema.

A 15% vertical lens shift and a 1.6x optical zoom provide a great deal of flexibility in terms of installation location, while dual 4 watt stereo speakers generate audio that is loud and crisp. The lamp life on the UHD60 is a robust 10,000 hours in ECO mode and 15,000 hours in Dynamic mode.

4K UHD Resolution

With over eight million pixels, Ultra HD 4K resolution brings four times more detail than Full HD, to deliver sharper, life-like images and richer colors. Allowing you to sit closer to the screen and enjoy a more immersive experience.

  1. Looking for a kickass 4K projector? You just found it! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jul 2017

First things first, thanks to the amazing customer service of Consignia.ca for not only delivering this stunning projector to me in a week, but also keeping me in the loop throughout the process.

When I ordered this projector, I knew I wanted a 4K projector, and I knew I was not able to spend 10 grand on it. I had read the same informal review on ProjectCenteral.com and felt strangely optimistic about this purchase. I contacted Consignia.ca to check the Canadian availability, and placed my order on June 27th, and got my projector on July 4th!

The projector has a great premium feel to it, and it runs very quiet, which is something I care about greatly. The picture quality is fantastic and very bright, granted that my room is very dark, so your results may vary.

Upon connecting it to Xbox One S, it passed all the 4K tests, 10bit gaming with HDR! I'm using a 135 inch grey screen from Elite Screens, and I've watched a couple of UHD BluRay movies on it, and the image is superb. I've never been a fan of "MotionPlus", and since this projector doesn't have it, I can't comment on it, but I love the picture quality, and everything is smooth.

As far as gaming goes, the UHD60 has an input lag of 33ms, which to me felt non-existence. I'm not a "sponsored gamer", but I consider myself hardcore enough to be able to notice an input lag, and I'm delighted to say that I feel nothing. If you're going to play video games, UHD60 has a significant advantage over the UHD 65, which has an input lag of 82ms.

The throw distance for this projector was also a pleasant surprise, as it allowed me to relocate the projector further back, improving my overall experience significantly. Again, please note the environment that I'm utilizing this projector is pretty much ideal for projectors, with no external light, so your results may vary.

At the time of writing this review, Harmony's remote database did not have UHD60 in it, so I ended up mapping the commands one by one, which was a bit annoying. I'm sure I could've used another Optoma model, but I didn't.

If you want a reasonably priced 4K projector, and have a dark room for it, I can't recommend anything over the UHD60. My other option was the JVC DLA-RS420, and I'm glad I went with UHD60. Great picture, almost half the price!
