  1. Can't go wrong 5 Star Review

I researched this decision almost to a fault. I'm a fan of DLP and found this to be the best solution for getting strong black levels and 3D vs the HD33 and only spending less than $1,000 more for a major upgrade. I've paired this with the Elitech 120 high contrast grey screen and have been watching for a few weeks. I was blown away with the picture right out of the box with no calibration. Inky black levels, bright vivid colors, perfect skin tones. Sitting just 6 feet away may be overwhelming, but is a treat with good source material in full 1080p. Quit worrying and pull the trigger.

  2. Awesome Projector! 5 Star Review

I updated from the Optoma HD 20 to this unit and was blown away. The 2D picture is incredible and the 3D full 1080p is AMAZING! My unit arrived just like new and I had it installed an running in no time and spent my weekend enjoying 3D!

  3. REfurbished!?! 4 Star Review

Was considering the Panasonic 7000, as it had good reviews and everything but was disapointed when I actually saw the actual set up in a demo room at a local hifi dealer, the 8300 surpasses its performance, and the contrast ratio is far superior in 3d with the glasses and all, but being a refurbished, it started not responding to commands frequently, requiring unplugging and letting it reboot, we will now be verifying quality of after sales services and fabricator tech support.

  4. 3d excellent 4 Star Review

Ok I have had the Optoma HD 20 and the HD 33. The hd33 was good for a $1500 projector. 3d quality was good. I saw this offer and jumped at it. I could never afford a $3500 projector (HD8300). So I upgraded. First difference from the 33 was the 3d . Brightness is very good ,better than the HD33 and contrast in 3d is perfect.Zoom on the 8300 is good so placing the projector is not as fussy as the HD33. I still have not calibrated the 8300 just set contrast brightness etc.. but is it worth $3500 compared to the $1500 of the HD33, well it certainly is not twice the picture but it is Very good.My wife noticed the difference right away, I am Happy with the performance of the 8300.
